Burnt Pine Magazine

There are presently no open calls for submissions.

Submissions are open.

Due to the limited number of eyes we have available to read the plethora of submissions we receive:

  1. The word count for each genre is limited to 2,500 words per piece
  2. You are welcome to submit to each genre, but we ask that you submit no more than 1 piece per genre. (Exceptions include: Nonfiction)
  3. Please list the name(s) of your work in the Submittable form header.

If you do not abide by the first two guidelines, your submission will be declined.

Additionally, Burnt Pine currently does not accept translation pieces, novel excerpts, or previously published work. For further details on our submission guidelines please visit our website. https://burntpine.wordpress.com/submissions/

All submissions should be in a legible, 12 point font, with your name, an email address, and word count in the header of the piece.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted.

*Tip Jar Submission*: A "tip jar" submission section is now available for all genres. While we believe that submissions for literary magazines should be free, monetary expenses are an unfortunate reality of running a literary magazine. As a means for covering some of those costs all tips will go toward our expenses. In thanks for choosing to make a donation, tip jar submissions will have a priority status and be read before general submissions. We will also send personalized feedback to anyone whose work is not accepted for our upcoming issues.
